Day 3 of the Golden Year & the beginning of this blog

Hello fine people of the interwebs!

This is blog has a single purpose and that is to document the awesomeness of the Golden Year in the lives of Rebecca and Cassie.

"What is a 'Golden Year'?" you may ask. Well, according to Rebecca and I, it is the year that follows your golden birthday. For us that year began on our 20th birthday on the magical day of 11.20.11.

Now that all of that is settled let's get down to documenting! Becca will add her piece later (hopefully).

DAY 3 of the Golden Year
Today felt like a game of catch up. After a crazy awesome weekend full of fun, I fell like I am behind with most things involving productivity. I got up 6 and departed from the Newman Center and my beloved triplets around 7. I arrived at my school 3.5 hours later, pretty tired but in good spirits. After a nap and some mac'n'cheese I headed off to class. The classes went better than I had expected and I even had time to work on a logo for the NSU newman center. (I'll post pictures of that once it has been approved.) I love working on logos (and working for the Newman Center), so that was a treat.

When classes were over for the day, I went back to the hobbit hole I call home. (It's actually an apartment that I call a hobbit hole, but that's neither here nor there.) I wanted to take another nap, but I decided that I should at least get something productive done before indulging myself. I looked to my closet to see that my dirty clothes basket was overflowing. Great. I hate doing laundry here. HATE it! All of my quarters magically disappear just before I have to wash clothes, forcing me to buy junk food at the vending machines in a desperate attempt to get the $1.75 I need. Today I got a pack of strawberry poptarts and a root beer. <_<

Another reason why I hate doing laundry here is that the clothes are NEVER dry after they go through the dryer once. Call me stingy, but I don't want to fork over the extra quarters to go through another drying cycle. It's tricky enough to get the 7 quarters in the first place. This leaves me hanging the damp clothes up in my room to dry. Right now my room smells like damp dryer sheets. Not the worst smell in the world, I suppose. =)

Today I Treated Myself to:
- Eggs, Bacon, & Tatertots for supper. TREAT YO SELF!
