Hello nerds!
As you may know yesterday was Black Friday's friendly cousin, Cyber Monday. The day when online deals and scams are prevalent and I found the best deal of ALL!! Lady Antebellum's new album for $2 on Amazon.com!
Also I bought a snazzy little portable hard drive on the same website. So great!!
*highfiving a thousand angels*
So, I pretty much went to school, shopped online, then did homework the rest of the night. yay.

Day 4 of the Golden Year

Yesterday morning I awoke at 11:00am. As I exited my apartment at the Newman Center my friend Tiffany and I decided to finish the movie we had started the night before, "Letters to God". It was a sad movie that I did not see every part of, so I didn't enjoy it very much.
When the movie was over it was almost time for Daily Mass to start, but none of the people who said they were coming were there yet. I texted Kyle and Conner. The only response was from Kyle who said he was doing laundry and had recently eaten something, so he wouldn't be coming. I assumed Conner wouldn't be there, but just before Mass started he showed up and made me happy he came. I was the lector at Mass. The first reading was really long but really cool.
After Mass when we passed by the St. Thomas Aquinas room and saw that ALL THE HELLERS WERE THERE! It was so good to see Grace again after SEARCH. Conner and Gabe played ping-pong in the fireside room as I made mac n' cheese for lunch. I treated myself to some frozen peas with the meal. They tasted so good with the pasta.
After lunch, Conner and I showed Gabe how to play Munchkins (a card game played sort of like dungeons & dragons). Just as he was starting to understand the game he had to leave, so Tiffany took over for him and with my help she won the game. It was a good thing she won because the last time Conner and I played Munchkins he almost disowned me as a friend after I caused him not to win the game.
Conner left after the game was done, so Tiffany and I decided to do our algebra homework until she had to leave for work. Around 6:20pm Grandpa Geditz showed up and surprised me because he was in town for a basketball game that I forgot about. I had a nice visit with him until my mom, Cassie, Ana, and Felicia arrived and brought some chicken for supper. It was delicious! While we were eating I texted Megan Schultz ...because she brought someone special to Aberdeen ...ALISSA CLEMEN!!! Just as the meal was ending, Megan and Alissa burst through the door and Cassie freaked out! It was awesome! Then we went to Gliks and surprised Kyle by buying things from him. It was fun checking out all the cute fuzzy hats at the store.
After a while we said goodbye to Kyle, got into the car, and headed for the Geditz Family Ranch. One fun surprise that awaited us when we arrived were all the kittens we found in the garage. THEY WERE SO FLUFFY!
Today I treated myself to:
Friends, family, and KITTENS!

Day 3 of the Golden Year & the beginning of this blog
Hello fine people of the interwebs!
This is blog has a single purpose and that is to document the awesomeness of the Golden Year in the lives of Rebecca and Cassie.
"What is a 'Golden Year'?" you may ask. Well, according to Rebecca and I, it is the year that follows your golden birthday. For us that year began on our 20th birthday on the magical day of 11.20.11.
Now that all of that is settled let's get down to documenting! Becca will add her piece later (hopefully).
DAY 3 of the Golden Year
Today felt like a game of catch up. After a crazy awesome weekend full of fun, I fell like I am behind with most things involving productivity. I got up 6 and departed from the Newman Center and my beloved triplets around 7. I arrived at my school 3.5 hours later, pretty tired but in good spirits. After a nap and some mac'n'cheese I headed off to class. The classes went better than I had expected and I even had time to work on a logo for the NSU newman center. (I'll post pictures of that once it has been approved.) I love working on logos (and working for the Newman Center), so that was a treat.
When classes were over for the day, I went back to the hobbit hole I call home. (It's actually an apartment that I call a hobbit hole, but that's neither here nor there.) I wanted to take another nap, but I decided that I should at least get something productive done before indulging myself. I looked to my closet to see that my dirty clothes basket was overflowing. Great. I hate doing laundry here. HATE it! All of my quarters magically disappear just before I have to wash clothes, forcing me to buy junk food at the vending machines in a desperate attempt to get the $1.75 I need. Today I got a pack of strawberry poptarts and a root beer. <_<
Another reason why I hate doing laundry here is that the clothes are NEVER dry after they go through the dryer once. Call me stingy, but I don't want to fork over the extra quarters to go through another drying cycle. It's tricky enough to get the 7 quarters in the first place. This leaves me hanging the damp clothes up in my room to dry. Right now my room smells like damp dryer sheets. Not the worst smell in the world, I suppose. =)
Today I Treated Myself to:
- Eggs, Bacon, & Tatertots for supper. TREAT YO SELF!
